Diesel Emissions
The 2007 mandated use of diesel particulate filters (DPFs) on the emissions of diesel engines, including those used in transportation, mining, farming, and construction has been an adjustment for all. The filters get clogged with particulate deposits. The amount of deposits can vary greatly depending on the application of the engine and the season it is operated.
The replacement of clogged DPFs is expensive. Extending the life of the DPFs, so that the frequency they need to be replaced is minimized, is a priority for most operators.
There are several methods used to clean, or restore DPFs. Choosing the right method can get your machine back in service quicker, and extend the life of the DPF. Ultrasonics are proven to be the most effective cleaning method for DPFs. Ultrasonics are gentler and faster than less advanced “Blow and Bake” methods.
According to the PIT Group 2019 report “Comparative Testing of Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaning Methods” Hunter Ultrasonics’ patented process not only cleaned DPFs up to 3x faster than the pneumatic systems tested; but also removed up to 96% of particulate deposits - the highest of all the systems tested.
Lower Your Operating Costs
Lower your operating costs by avoiding expensive filter replacement costs and taking your equipment out of service less often. Our patented system provides the most thorough cleaning on the market while still preserving any wash coat and underlaying substrate.
Reduce Vehicle Downtime
Why have your vehicle in the shop when it can be on the road? Our patented air drying process is up to to 3x faster than most pneumatic and kiln based systems. This can often reduce service appointments by more than a day.
Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs)
We successfully restore most sizes and types of DPFs. Our patented approach to cleaning and drying DPFs will save you time and money.
Exhaust Gas Recirculation Coolers (EGRs)
One of the most popular uses of our ultrasonic tanks is to clean EGR’s. Most makes and models can be restored to “like new”, improving performance and reducing costs.
Parts and Equipment
Our ultrasonic tanks can also be used to quickly and easily clean most metal parts. Why have a paid technician hand scrubbing items when one of our tanks will do it better and faster?
